Accessibility

Last updated October 18, 2026

This statement covers every app published by big small apps and this website. Our apps should be easy for everyone to see, hear and use.

Our goals

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which also covers the Israeli Standard IS 5568. These are goals we build and test towards, not a legal guarantee, and we keep improving.

How we build and test every app

  • Automated checks with axe-core on every screen and dialog, in dark, light and high-contrast themes.
  • Every screen at many window sizes and at display scaling up to 200%: nothing cut off, overlapping or too small to read.
  • Keyboard only: every control can be reached and used, and dialogs handle the focus properly.
  • Names for screen readers on every button and picture, and announcements when something changes.
  • High-contrast mode, simulated colour blindness, and no flashing.
  • Your system settings are respected, such as reduced motion.

This website

Plain pages with no scripts, no motion and no flashing. Checked on October 18, 2026:

  • axe-core on all six pages, in light and dark mode: 12 runs, no issues, colour contrast included.
  • Keyboard only: a “Skip to content” link first, and a visible focus ring on every link.
  • Reflow at 320 pixels wide (the same as 400% zoom): nothing cut off, nothing scrolls sideways.

Known limits

  • The apps' words are in English only; dates and day names follow your language.
  • Screen reader support is checked through what the apps tell the screen reader, not yet by people who use NVDA, JAWS or Narrator every day.

If anything is hard to see, hear or use, tell us. Some apps can also start the email for you; see below.

Per app

Big Small Clock

Tests run
axe-core on 30 screens and dialogs × 3 themes (90 runs); 17 window sizes from 200 × 150 to 3840 × 2160, plus drag-resizing; display scaling 100–200%; 151 combined-settings runs (39,768 of 39,958 setting pairs); keyboard only; screen reader names and announcements; Windows High Contrast; four colour-blindness simulations.
Results
No axe-core issues; nothing cut off or overlapping and no text under 9 pixels; no flashing; AA contrast in the light theme.
Built in
An Accessibility menu (high contrast, calm or no motion, gentler sounds), every sound also shown on screen, keyboard shortcuts for everything (press ?).
Known limits
The newest sound options (volume limit, startle protection, fewer sounds) are checked in code, not yet by listening tests.
Report a problem
Accessibility menu › Report an accessibility problem starts an email with a few details that help us fix it; you can read or change them before sending.
